Graduation Sash

UNC Charlotte students who studied abroad are eligible to purchase a Study Abroad Graduation Sash with their host country’s flag to wear at graduation. UNC Charlotte Education Abroad (EA) collects orders each fall and spring semester and sashes are purchased from a third party vendor, Vision Wear International.

Submit Request Form

Education Abroad collects orders for graduation sashes at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Students order and pay for the country(ies) they want represented on their sash directly from Vision Wear with a discount code provided by EA. The deadline to submit your order for the December 2024 commencement is November 12th. This is the date by which you’d have to submit your order on our partner’s website, so please don’t delay and click the button below!

After submitting the request form above, students will receive an email from EA with a link to order the sash along with a unique code for our campus that will subtract shipping costs from your order. Students will select the sash they wish to order and pay directly through the website provided. Students MUST use their UNC Charlotte email (ending in @uncc.edu) when ordering through Vision Wear’s website, or the code will not work. Note the prices for the sashes below.

Sashes will be available for pick up in the Education Abroad office the week of December 2nd. EA will notify all students who submitted an order when the sashes have arrived and are available for pick up.

Important Note: Students who order and pay for a sash, but do not pick it up are not eligible for a refund.

FAQS

I missed the deadline, can I still order a sash?

Students who miss the EA order deadline, or students who simply want their sash earlier, can purchase a graduation sash directly through our vendor, Vision Wear. Shipping costs will be added.

When will I receive my sash?

The sashes will be shipped to EA approximately 2-3 weeks before commencement. Students who placed an order with UNC Charlotte website code, will be notified via email when the sashes have arrived. If students need the sash before the date listed above, students will need to order directly through Vision Wear without the University Code and pay for shipping.
