annabelle hill

Annabelle Hill (ahill129@charlotte.edu) is a triple major in International Studies, Political Science, and French in her third year at UNC Charlotte. Annabelle first studied abroad the summer following her freshman year on a faculty-led program in Stellenbosch, South Africa where she studied Public Health and Social Justice. Then, in the Spring of her sophomore year, Annabelle studied in the small southwest town of Pau, France in intensive French courses through the affiliate provider USAC. In addition to her courses, while on her semester abroad, Annabelle travelled to Spain, Portugal, the UK, Malta, Morocco, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, and Austria. Each place she travelled and lived as part of her study abroad experience, Annabelle gained global friends and newfound confidence. She believes that study abroad can be a life changing reality for all UNC Charlotte students and is excited to help them find the right fit!

autumn campbell

Autumn Campbell (acampb93@charlotte.edu) is currently a senior at UNC Charlotte. Autumn transferred to UNC Charlotte in the spring semester of 2023. She studied abroad the spring semester of 2024 in San José, Costa Rica, with the CIS affiliate program at the Universidad de Veritas. Autumn is an English major with a concentration in Creative Writing with a Spanish minor. She intends to graduate in the spring of 2025. She was inspired through study abroad to seek a graduate education abroad. 

Hani Abshir

Hani Abshir (habshir@charlotte.edu) is a senior with a double majoring in International Business and Business Analytics. She studied abroad in fall 2024 at Yonsei University in Seoul South Korea. Hani always been interested in different cultures and communities around the world which is why she chose to study International Business as one of her major. At Yonsei University she decided to focus primarily on her International Business major so that she could immerse herself in the Korean culture and explore the new country she was living in. Hani has always wanted to go to Korea and Japan since she’s was a freshman. When deciding her major she knew that she wanted to do business, but wanted to find a way to incorporate studying abroad in her education. When she discovered what International Business was, she knew that’s what she wanted to add to her Business Analytics major. Hani plans to graduate December 2025, she plans to use her experience from studying abroad to pursue jobs around the world. The plan for Hani was always to work abroad whether it’s in Korea, Japan, or anywhere outside the United States. She’s always been interested in traveling and seeing the world and what it has to offer. Which is exactly what she wants to do after graduating by using her experience of from studying abroad.

Akshitha ganta

Akshitha Ganta (aganta@charlotte.edu) is a junior studying Biology with a minor in Bioinformatics. She studied abroad during Fall 2024 at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Studying abroad has made her passionate about global experiences and believes that everyone should take the opportunity to study abroad and travel if able. She is excited to be a study abroad ambassador to help students study abroad as well as to share her own experience studying abroad. 

gray owen

Gray Owen (gowen7@uncc.edu) is currently a senior majoring in Communications and International Business. She studied at Toyo University in Toyo, Japan for the 2024-2025 academic school year. Her study abroad experience allowed her to further study the Japanese language, while simultaneously immersing herself in the culture. She is excited to help answer students questions about Charlotte’s study abroad programs.
