JC Clark

JC Clark (jclar247@charlotte.edu) is a junior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she is majoring in Organizational Communication with a minor in Journalism. She enjoys learning how communication shapes relationships, organizations, and the way people connect. Her academic interests have inspired her to explore new experiences both inside and outside the classroom. One of the most meaningful experiences in JC’s college career was studying abroad in London, England through the Center for International Studies (CIS) Abroad Affiliate Provider Program. During the six-week program, she took courses in Sports Management and Travel Journalism while immersing herself in a new culture. Living abroad challenged her to step outside of her comfort zone, adapt to cultural differences, and appreciate new perspectives. Something as simple as adjusting to London’s earlier daily routine became a valuable lesson in flexibility and personal growth. JC values opportunities that allow her to learn, grow, and connect with people from different backgrounds. She hopes to use the communication, adaptability, and cultural awareness she has gained through her experiences to build a career where she can make meaningful connections and continue learning every day.
