Study Abroad Week is a week-long event consisting of live online webinars and information sessions to learn more about studying and interning abroad! Throughout the week students will meet UNC Charlotte Education Abroad staff, and will be able to interact with UNC Charlotte students who have studied abroad. Better yet, by attending the Study Abroad Week events, students can be entered to win prizes!

grand Prize Drawing
Students who attend Study Abroad Week events can be entered to win prizes! The drawing will take place the week after Study Abroad Week and the prizes are as follows:
1st Place Drawing Winner: Study abroad administrative fee discount (a value of up to $600)
2nd Place Drawing Winner: Swag bag (containing phone pop-socket, t-shirt & other items!)
3rd Place Drawing Winner: Niner InterNATIONal T-shirt
Must attend at least three events listed on the Study Abroad Week schedule
Have not studied abroad before

Only one winner will be chosen for each prize: Being entered does not guarantee selection as a winner
A report of all live webinar attendees will be evaluated. Students who do not attend the webinar live as it is scheduled from start to finish will not be considered
Fee Discount
The student who is selected as the 1st place winner will have their study abroad administrative fee waived by UNC Charlotte Education Abroad (up to a $600 value) the semester they study abroad. Please note the following regarding the discount:
Students who have already studied abroad are not eligible to receive the study abroad administrative fee discount
The winner will not receive cash value. The study abroad administrative fee will be automatically waived the semester they go abroad. The discount amount received depends on the study abroad program type in which the student participates
Students must study abroad as an active UNC Charlotte student within 3 academic years of being notified that they are a recipient in order to have the discount applied

Virtual Scavenger Hunt
Participants will be given a list of tasks to complete and submit to EA for approval by midnight on Friday, March 12 for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card.

Join the Zoom session on Thursday and compete with other students for a chance to win a $20 Amazon gift card.

Students are encouraged to complete (or refer back to) Study Abroad 101. This resource covers everything students need to know about going abroad. Study Abroad Week simply reiterates it! The information about different study and intern abroad programs that will be promoted during Study Abroad Week will all be found on the program brochure for a particular program within EA Program Database.
Yes! EA will send out the slides used during the webinars to anyone who registered for that particular webinar the week following Study Abroad Week (even if you can’t attend).
When you register for a webinar, your information is collected. Zoom will then track whether or not you actually log on and watch it. This is how we’ll confirm who watched the webinar.
