Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program Proposals for 2022 Now Open
The Office of Education Abroad is excited to announce that faculty-led study abroad program proposals are officially open for spring break and summer 2022! If you are a UNC Charlotte faculty member, read on to discover why you should consider proposing a faculty-led study abroad program.
What are faculty-led programs?
Faculty-led programs are overseas academic experiences for groups of UNC Charlotte students, short-term or otherwise, that are designed and administered by UNC Charlotte faculty members, with support from the Office of Education Abroad staff. All faculty-led programs have some things in common: they are typically offered during academic breaks (spring break or summer), are designed around a specific topic, and incorporate experiential learning activities.
Why should you consider proposing?
Faculty-led programs offer numerous opportunities and benefits for both you and your students. Gaining a global perspective on your field, developing intercultural understanding, and supporting internationalization efforts for your college and the university are just some of the important reasons why you should consider proposing and leading a faculty-led program.
