Faculty Program Development Workshops

Event Date:
March 8, 2023 – 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Location:
Zoom

Education Abroad will be hosting two faculty workshops in March. These workshops are intended for UNC Charlotte faculty who are interested in proposing a faculty-led study abroad program for 2024 and beyond. The first workshop, held on March 8, will be for new faculty who have not previously proposed programs. The second workshop will be held on March 15, and will be for returning faculty who have previously led programs. These sessions will cover faculty and Education Abroad responsibilities, program considerations, program design (i.e. academics, itinerary, budgets), student learning outcomes, and the proposal process.

UNC Charlotte faculty-led programs are overseas academic experiences for students, short-term or otherwise, that are designed and administered by UNC Charlotte faculty members, with support from Education Abroad. These programs are designed as high-impact, academic experiences for students and play an important role in Shaping What’s Next for the university. The staff in Education Abroad work with UNC Charlotte faculty members to develop and implement safe, affordable, and quality programming in a variety of locations around the world.

Participants are encouraged to complete Education Abroad’s Program Development 101 Canvas course before attending either workshop.
