Know Before You Go: Success in Study Abroad and Beyond is a new interactive workshop series for UNC Charlotte students of all levels and majors. Students who are specifically interested in studying abroad, as well as those who have a general interest in international or intercultural perspectives are invited to take part.
The seond workshop in the series, Social Justice & Study Abroad, will explain how study abroad can be a transformative tool for developing critical self-reflection, empathy, and social change, and how you can push yourself to begin developing these mindsets before, during, and after going abroad. This session will be co-presented by EA staff and Tyris Gillis, Assistant Director, UNC Charlotte Identity, Equity, and Engagement office.
This workshop will be interactive! Participation is via Zoom; students should be prepared for potential Q&A, discussions, and other forms of engagement. You are encouraged to participate with your camera on.
