Karla Paulino

Karla Paulino (kpaulin1@charlotte.edu) is currently a senior at UNC Charlotte. She studied and interned abroad in London, England, through an affiliate program with CEA CAPA, interning at Raindance Film Festival during the summer session 1 of 2026. Karla is double majoring in Marketing and International Business with a minor in Communications. She intends to graduate in the spring of 2027. Karla has a strong passion for global marketing, which she was able to learn more about and gain hands-on experience during this study abroad program. She loved learning about the cultural similarities and differences that London has in comparison to the U.S. which ignited a love for travel. During her internship in London, she interviewed a variety of independent short film directors, managed the social media on several days of the film festival, and hosted a Q&A session at a local cinema. Her favorite part of the experience was exploring London and seeing West End theater shows in her free time after her internship and class. She would like to share how impactful and transformative study abroad programs can be and give advice on how to make the most of it.
