Andrew Simmons

Andrew Simmons (asimmo92@charlotte.edu) is a junior at UNC Charlotte pursuing majors in Geography and Sociology. In the spring semester of 2026, he is studying abroad at Kingston University in Kingston upon Thames, England, and continued his global studies in the summer at Stellenbosch University in Stellenbosch, South Africa. He enjoyed getting immersed in the local food and arts scene and learning to be more independent while immersed in new environments. He encourages all students to consider studying abroad during their studies, as it can help them become more independent and self-sufficient, grow personally in unexpected ways, and broaden their worldview.
