Laura Machuca

Laura Machuca is from Apex, North Carolina. She is double majoring in psychology and health systems management. Studying abroad has always been a dream of hers, but she didn’t know how to go about it. She did not realize that UNC Charlotte offered a variety of programs that aligned with her major goals. She decided on the psychology in the United Kingdom, a summer faculty-led program. This helped her foster so many new connections with others in her major while simultaneously visiting historical spots in psychology like Freud’s house and the Bethlehem museum. She couldn’t speak more highly of her experience and recommends every Charlotte student checkout all the study abroad opportunities.
