Join Us for a Virtual Study Abroad Alumni Career Panel!
We invite all study abroad alumni and interested students to join us for an Alumni Career Panel, where you’ll be able to hear first-hand how former Niners leveraged their experiences abroad for post-grad success. This panel will be run via Zoom, so you’re welcome to join us from the comfort of your home or dorm on Thursday, April 11, at 5:30 p.m. Attendance is of course free, and no registration is required.
You might be surprised to learn that 97% of study abroad alumni find a job within 12 months of graduation, compared to only 49% of the general student population. For their first jobs, those who studied abroad earn salaries 15% greater than those who didn’t; while harder to quantify, study abroad alumni also build soft skills like self-efficacy, confidence, resiliency, and cross-cultural competence, which all help students evolve into more dynamic, flexible, and empathetic employees.
The virtual panel will include the opportunity for a Q&A, so please join us and get your questions answered! The Office of Education Abroad also wants to improve networking opportunities for study abroad alumni, so we invite you to join our LinkedIn alumni group here.
Career Panel date and time: Thursday, April 11, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
